Application

Gauge hatches allow easy access to atmospheric liquid storage tanks for manual level measurement (dipping), temperature measurement and sampling. They are available in 'un-lockable' and 'lockable' versions.

Principle of Operation

Gauge hatches provide tank access where manual level gauging, temperature measurement or sampling is required. The safety pedal allows the operator to open the gauge hatch whilst remaining ‘hands free’ to carry out required measuring.

Combined Gauge Hatch & Pressure/Vacuum Relief

Application

This product is a lockable combined hatch with pressure/vacuum relief in one fitting. It is designed to allow a tank to breath but only at fixed set pressures (unlike combined free vent unit).

Principle of Operation

A combination gauge hatch with pressure/vacuum relief provides tank access by swinging back the hatch cover to allow manual level gauging, temperature measurement and sampling when required.

• The unit may be padlocked to ensure security when closed.

Combined Gauge Hatch & Free Vent

Application

This product is a lockable combined hatch and free vent in one fitting. It is designed to allow easy access to tanks for measuring whilst allowing the tank atmospheres and vapors to flow freely in-between sampling.

Principle of Operation

A combination gauge hatch and free vent provides tank access by swinging back the hatch cover to allow manual level gauging, temperature measurement and sampling when required. Whilst venting the opening is fitted with a wire mesh screen to prevent the ingress of foreign matter.
