In-Line Deflagration & Detonation Flame Arresters

Elmac Technologies^® can supply different types of in-line deflagration and unstable detonation arresters, suitable for a wide variety of industries and applications. CE-IB unstable detonation arresters are suitable for gas groups up to IIB3. DFB and SGE-IB deflagration arresters are also suitable for use up to gas group IIB3. MB-IB microbore deflagration arresters are specifically designed for use in process and instrumentation lines. CE-IB, DFB, and SGE-IB arresters all have replaceable elements.

In-Line Deflagration and Detonation Arresters

In-line deflagration arresters are designed to prevent propagation of flames in gas or vapour mixtures. By locating the arrester in close proximity to the potential source of ignition, any flame or explosion is confined to the immediate area.

Unstable detonation arresters* are designed to prevent propagation of detonations in gas or vapour mixtures. Detonation arresters are specifically designed for pipelines with a significant distance between the ignition source and the arrester, or for use where the pipe is rough, bent, obstructed or has section changes.
