In-Line Deflagration & Detonation Flame Arrestors

Elmac Technologies^® can supply different types of in-line deflagration and unstable detonation arrestors, suitable for a wide variety of industries and applications. CE-IB unstable detonation arrestors are suitable for gas groups up to IIB3. DFB and SGE-IB deflagration arrestors are also suitable for use up to gas group IIB3. MB-IB microbore deflagration arrestors are specifically designed for use in process and instrumentation lines. CE-IB, DFB, and SGE-IB arrestors all have replaceable elements.

In-Line Flame and Detonation Arrestors

In-line deflagration arrestors are designed to prevent propagation of flames in gas or vapour mixtures. By locating the arrestor in close proximity to the potential source of ignition, any flame or explosion is confined to the immediate area.

Unstable detonation arrestors* are designed to prevent propagation of detonations in gas or vapour mixtures. Detonation arrestors are specifically designed for pipelines with a significant distance between the ignition source and the arrestor, or for use where the pipe is rough, bent, obstructed or has section changes.
