Selecting The Right Product
Which product do you need?
To help you choose the product you need, the tables below list Elmac Technologies® product ranges and show which general functions and features they provide.
Pressure/Vacuum Relief Valves
Pressure / vacuum relief valves (also known as breather valves, conservation vents, or safety vents) are used extensively on bulk storage tanks, including fixed roof tanks with floating covers, to minimise evaporation loss. The valves prevent the build up of excessive pressure or vacuum which can unbalance the system or damage the storage vessel.
Emergency Relief Vents & Access Manways
Emergency relief vents permit access to low pressure storage tanks and provide emergency venting in the event of fire. Non-sparking, low pressure access manways offer easy entry to low-pressure storage tanks for maintenance and cleaning.

Gauge Hatches
Gauge hatches allow easy access to atmospheric liquid storage tanks for manual level measurement (dipping), temperature measurement and sampling. Gauges can also be combined with a pressure/vacuum relief mechanism, or free vent to offer various levels of pressure relief protection.

Free Vents
Free vents are designed for use on any atmospheric tank to prevent the build-up of internal pressure, by allowing atmospheres and vapours to flow freely in tanks or vent riser pipes.

Tank Blanketing Valves
Tank blanketing valves offer complete protection to the storage tank product against contamination and to the storage tank itself against rupture or damage. In addition to preventing outside air and moisture from entering the storage vessel, a blanket gas pressure reduces the evaporation of the stored product to a negligable amount.
